Those who suffer permanent intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive and physiological disabilities that do not allow them to live their day-to-day lives.
Insurance
Peace of mind that if a child or loved one is born with or acquires a permanent disability you will be provided with ongoing support.
Scheme
A program to help those get support that is necessary to improve their skills and independence over time.
What is the NDIS?
The NDIS provides necessary and reasonable funding to individuals with a permanent and significant disability, whom are unable to access the support they need to fulfill and enjoy their everyday lives.
Each person recognised by the NDIS is a ‘NDIS Participant”, each individual has a personalised plan that outlines goals they wish to achieve and the amount of funding they are entitled too.
The NDIA (national Disability Insurance Agency) make the decisions as to whom is eligible to receive the NDIS. To be eligible you must meet this criteria
Be under the age of 65 years.
Have a permanent disability that affects your day to day life significantly.
Must be an Australian citizen or hold an Australian passport.
Must reside where the NDIS is currently available.
