What are the services we provide?
Since 1991, and for over two decades, Care For You at Home has been supporting the community of Port Stephens and beyond with high-quality care services in the areas of Community Nursing, Disability and Home Care. Our team offers a range of personalized services to meet every individual’s needs – from domestic assistance and home maintenance, to registered nursing treatments such as palliative care or wound dressing management. We also provide transport for medical appointments or social engagements plus respite visits if required. Ensuring your loved one is in safe hands throughout their journey. Our aim is to ensure our care packages are tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
Who are our main clients and how do we service their needs?
We specialize in providing exceptional care for individuals of all ages, from those with disabilities, aged care to veterans. We are an Approved Provider with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs Community Nursing Program, The Veterans’ Home Care Program, NDIS and the Federal Government Homecare Packages Program. We also cater to private clients & insurance recipients as well as provide a brokerage service for other providers if needed.
How Do I Access Your Services?
Following a thorough assessment, our Care Team can provide one-off or only one part of a client’s daily care needs or clients can access a full suite of care services tailored to them. Our committment is to provide services 24/7 and 365 days a year. Plus with the added advantage of after hours mobile support in emergencies! Our dedicated team members are all local while outside contractors may be engaged upon request when necessary.
A little history about how the company/service started and the journey it’s taken.
Care For You at Home started in 2002 by Meagan Harding, a Registered Nurse, after purchasing Tomaree Nursing Service with 3 staff and 15 clients. Meagan held a single minded determination to assist people in the Port Stephens region gain access to high quality, compassionate, in-home care. The business has now grown into a service with over 40 staff and has served thousands of people throughout Port Stephens and surrrounds keeping them safe, well and independent in their own home and in the wider community.
What do you most enjoy about operating in the Port Stephens area?
Local staff delivering excellent care to the people of Port Stephens – by keeping people safe, well and independent in their own homes means the wider community benefits. Maintaining people’s independence helps to keep them engaged in their community. There are 22,000 people over the age of 50 living in Port Stephens and 11,000 of them are over 70 years old there are only 860 combined Nursing Home, Hostel and self care Villa’s in the Port Stephens LGA so these people will need our support well into the future to remain at home.
